AiMOGA Mobo preorder: what the $99 deposit actually covers
Mobo has a $99 deposit, but no complete retail price. Check the claimed $399 credit, warranty, refunds, delivery and taxes before paying.

A deposit is not the robot price
AiMOGA's global site offers Mobo preorders from 21 October to 31 December 2026 and asks for a $99 deposit. It says the deposit counts as $399 towards a later purchase, with an extra six months of warranty and VIP benefits. These are the company's terms; request them in your individual written offer. The Buy route leads to a sales contact process. Neither that page nor Chery's announcement gives a complete final price for every country and configuration. Independent Humanoids Daily also reports the preorder without a final retail figure.
Chery presents Mobo as a home companion and refers to its MoAgent system and 22 degrees of freedom. Those are manufacturer claims, not an independent endurance or household safety test. Ask which functions ship with the exact unit, which need online services, and what languages and regions are supported. Do not infer a delivery date or a guaranteed configuration from a promotional film.
Questions to settle before paying
| Item | Published information | Request in writing |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit | $99 | Currency charged and receipt |
| Purchase credit | $399 claimed | Contract terms and eligibility |
| Full robot price | Not complete on global page | Total for your variant |
| Delivery | Depends on destination | Country, carrier and date |
| Taxes | Not calculated there | VAT, duties and import fees |
| Warranty | Six extra months claimed | Total coverage and local repair |
The official page says the buyer bears any refund-processing fees. Check how much would be returned, in which currency and by what method. Currency conversion depends on the rate and payment-provider fees at the actual charge. VAT, duties and freight depend on shipping origin, destination, customs classification and carrier. A generic calculator cannot produce a reliable landed price without a seller's specific quote. Ask for the final amount in your currency including tax, freight, seller identity, return rights and support arrangements.
Before reserving a household robot, check size, power, battery, privacy controls, software updates, local service and spare parts. Decide which task you actually need completed and request evidence of that exact task. A companion or telepresence alternative may meet a different need at a different cost.
